Basically once you have a speaking engagement request you will pass it over to us and we will coordinate with you, the hiring party and all involved and will handle all the details from schedule, materials, contracts, travel, payment arrangements, expenses and negotiating your fees and more. You simply just show up and speak!

Charli Jane also does the follow care after the event to ensure satisfaction with the planner and to help build that relationship for further opportunities. You don’t want to let the lack of follow up leave you out of the game, following up with inquiries and after follow up care is essential to your speaking business growth. While being managed by Charli Jane you don’t have to worry about those details or the time it takes to get it down, we’re there for you 100% and have all those details covered.

Utilizing the full or part time management services creates a peace of mind for the speaker in knowing they are being taken care of 100% and that someone has their back that genuinely has their best interest at heart plus it frees up the speakers time so they can invest in other aspects of their business, plus creates a lifestyle they desire.

If you have been speaking professionally for 2 or more years you will be best suited for management by Charli Jane.  Our management services are not suited for the start-up speaker who speaks a few times a year. This program is not coaching, lead generation, marketing or any other service except for full/part time speaker management services for your speaking events. It is meant for the seasoned speaker who is ready to move up in their speaking business and release all of the management aspects to a company such as Charli Jane who has your best interest and your clients at heart.

Speaker Management Services Fees

Our management services work best with speakers who have a full schedule although we do have part time speaker management available.  

If a speaker is part time and only does 1-2 events a month of course the investment is lower and still minimal. If CJ is hired on by a PT speaker for management and the events increase over time to exceed 3 events per month the rate will go up to the next FT level rate.

If you do your own management and handle all the details of each speaking engagement including follow up care you know the time invested in this and will realize that having your business managed is a wise choice and one of the best investments you can make.

Full Time Management

Full management of speaking events and includes 4 + events per month

If a speaker hires Charli Jane at a full time basis they are basically locked in at that rate, meaning it won’t increase over time even if they end up doing 6 events in a month (which is a lot but can be done depending on the venue and customer, etc) We do however max out at 6 events and if a speaker happens to do more than this in a month we will come to an agreement on the pricing.

I do require a 3 month agreement with full time speaker management and is renewable every quarter, if desired.

Part Time Management

PT management includes everything as the full time management except the amount of events per month: Part time management consists of speakers who have 1-3 events per month.

I also require a 3 month agreement with the PT speakers as well which is renewable every quarter. If a speaker exceeds 3 events per month we have an agreement that the speakers management fees will go up to the next level which is FT management.

Management Payments

The nice thing about CJ management is our flexibility when it comes to payment with our speakers, although we do require a 3 month agreement, the full 3 months is not due in full upon hiring and can be paid in 3 monthly installments with the first installment being due when the speaker and Charli Jane agree that there is a fit and the agreement is signed. Billing than occurs every month thereafter for an additional 2 months. It is important however to remember that when signing on with CJ there is a 3 month commitment so it’s wise to make sure you are ready to utilize the services (FT or PT)  

One important note is we do not offer refunds if a speaker cancels an event after being booked, no-shows, etc. Once we have you booked and gone through the process and have done the leg work that’s pretty much it, what happens after that is between you and the hiring party. In most cases if the speaker cancels and already got a deposit from the hiring party they will be required to pay that back to the company. I always say it’s best to find a back up speaker for unforeseen incidents as this will cover your back in more ways than one. If ever a speaker feels in advance that they cannot make an event and if they let me know ahead of time at least a couple of weeks I can find a contingency speaker for them and of course at that time they forfeit any monies coming to them as it will now go to the contingency speaker. (This is included in the management services)

The great thing about hiring CJ as your speaker management company is we are a small and personal company; we have been around the speaking industry and within the meeting planning industry since 2001. When we take on a speaker, everything we do is in the best interest of our speaker and you become a part of Charli Jane and are very well taken care of. Your management services also include any coaching you may need in your speaking business as I am always here and a wonderful resource for anything you might need in regards to your speaking business.
