Speaker Representation

Now accepting a select few speakers in representing them and assisting them in getting bookings!

Because of such a great demand and so many asking me to represent them as speakers on a commission basis Wendi has decided to take on a select few for representation and be their speaking agent/marketing consultant

I actively seek out and promote my speakers to find the right match and perfect speaking engagements. I am not a speaker’s bureau where the bureau works for the hiring party and gets paid by the hiring party. I work for you in securing you speaking engagements and negotiating your terms and fees. You are not charged any fees for me being your agent/consultant until your speaking engagement has been booked and at that time you are charged a standard 20% commission fee. By working with me as your speaking agent/marketing consultant I go the extra mile in securing you bookings and do my best to negotiate higher fees and better terms.

Speaker representation by Wendi and Charli Jane Speaker Services must meet certain requirements, please see below.

Speaker representation requirements and material needed for consideration

I will need the following items and material to evaluate you for speaker representation. All requirements must be met to be considered. I work with only a select few and will represent speakers who have different topics and/or different target audiences. I will however accept multiple speakers with the same expertise only if the speakers have different markets/audiences. It would be impossible and unethical for me to represent two speakers that have the same topic, same market and audience. Another reason for me to be very select is because true representation takes time, money, energy and focus to represent each speaker.

Please note I do not work on an exclusive basis and you are free to work with whomever you choose.

The items marked below with an asterisk are not required but preferred as it will make it easier to represent and market you as a professional if you have all the items and material listed below.

Most items can be sent via email to Wendi (at) CharliJane.com if you prefer to send material via mail it will be kept in our office and will not be sent back so please do not send your original copies. Our mailing address is below.

Below is a list of the following requirements and material needed

• A video demo is preferred but not required. I do however recommend you work on getting one if you do not have one. This can be in the form of a hard copy or an online version on your website.
• Fee schedule: Please include your entire fee schedule and include international rates, if applicable.
• A list of topics/presentations, please send a brief description of each. These should also be what I like to call "speaker agent friendly" in other words, no contact information on this item please.
• Your speaker bio/one-sheet and once again this should be "speaker agent friendly", no contact info. If you supply me with material that has been requested to be "speaker agent friendly" and it contains contact information it will not be accepted.
• Two photos: One black and white (if you do not have black and white I will convert it to b&w) and one color photo. I prefer a head shot along with an "action" shot as well. The action shot is not required but preferred.
• Three speaking references
• Any additional material you feel will assist me in representing you and securing you speaking engagements will be appreciated and to your benefit. You can send additional information via email or regular mail (mailing address is above)
• To be considered you must have a speaking fee of no less then $3,000. If your fee is lower then this you might want to consider our no-fee profile listing service located here

If I agree to represent you, I will from time to time request additional information from you that I feel is needed to better promote and market you as a speaker.

If you are represented by Wendi you will also have a web page that is "speaker agent friendly" on the Charli Jane website for the hiring party to learn more about you. This directory is different from our regular Charli Jane speaker directory and is designed for speakers that I represent. This page will be completed once you have submitted all speaker material and requirements are met and I agree to work with you as your speaking agent/marketing consultant.

Please note that I do get a large volume of requests but as mentioned above I can only accept one speaker per topic unless the market and/or audience is different, so it is on a first come first serve basis. If I am already representing a speaker in your area you are welcome to be put on a waiting list and I can contact you if space becomes available. If you are considering representation by Wendi and Charli Jane Speaker Services please submit your material as soon as possible for consideration.
