Christy Largent is a professional speaker and trainer.  Utilizing dynamic storytelling and her trademark humor, Christy engages, involves and encourages her audiences as she teaches them how to strengthen their relationships. 

Christy is the President of C.C. Largent Associates, L.L.C., a communications training and development company.  Her company offers many types of programming in the area of Interpersonal Skills Development.  Christy lives with her husband and one-year-old daughter in Redding, CA.

Christy has been a Christian for more than 30 years, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t experienced the “full reality” of life!  She has lived through both the ups and downs that come to most of us.  These include the thrills of a fun filled marriage, a successful career, a passion for serving the Lord in her local church, and lots of good friends.  It also includes the trauma of long term infertility closely followed by an unexpected divorce.  But through it all God has been faithful, and has shown Christy that truly He is Sovereign! 

Christy has both a strong biblical and communications background.  Her presentations are fun, educational and enjoyable.  She is capable of not only entertaining your women for the weekend, but she will motivate them to seek God’s heart for changed lives.

Today you will see God in Christy evidenced by her positive outlook on life, as well as the vivacious joy she brings to every moment.   Her enthusiasm for life is infectious and inspiring!

Christy was a professional Interior Designer for 14 years until God called her into full time Communications training.  She is a graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. in Communications and Political Science.  She is also a graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, New York, and is a Certified Personality Trainer through CLASServices in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

Christy has been teaching Bible Studies and Women’s Groups for more than 20 years.  She has an in-depth understanding of the Bible, and is schooled in Conservative Theology and Doctrine.  Additionally, she has taken upper level classes at both Phoenix Seminary in Scottsdale, Arizona and Dallas Theological Seminary, in Dallas, Texas.

Christy is available for luncheons, workshops and retreats.  Additional topics are also available.  Christy’s presentations can be adjusted in length and combination to meet your needs.

The Personalities Block

• Discover the Real You: How often have you either looked in the mirror, or written in your journal, and thought you just didn’t like what you were seeing?  Or, have you been guilty of not making the most of how God made you?  With a fresh and invigorating look at the Personality Styles, we will cover the basics of our own personalities.  We will learn about our strengths and weaknesses, need and desires, and how to maximize ourselves for His kingdom.  You will never look at yourself the same way again, but you will learn how to appreciate the unique person who is YOU!

• Discover the Hidden Charms of your Child: Are your children driving you crazy?  Are you running in circles trying to figure out how to love your child in a way he will feel?  This session targets finding the keys to unlock your child’s full potential.  You will learn how to love them the way they need to be loved, and then enable them to love God in their own way…the way they were designed by God to love Him!  We will discuss how to parent to your child’s strengths and mature him through his natural weaknesses.
   

• Your Heart to God’s Heart: Have you ever felt stymied in your desire to grow closer to God.  Have you felt frustrated that you haven’t developed your spiritual life the way other people are developing theirs?  The reason for your frustration probably lies in the way you are looking at and working towards your relationship with the Lord.  With a fresh look at our unique personality styles, we then relate these styles to our walk with Christ.  This seminar will relieve you of the guilt you frequently feel, and give you techniques and ideas for developing your relationship with our Lord  - straight from your heart to God’s heart.

• Grace Notes: This topic is a new favorite!  This program will show you how to discover the art of abundant living because of God’s “Grace Notes” to us.  Christy will help you transform your relationships through a thorough understanding of this ancient philosophy.  You’ll receive Grace Notes in three parts: First you’ll learn how to Accept Grace, second you’ll learn how to Give Grace and thirdly you’ll learn how to revel in this truly “amazing Grace”. Entertaining and at the same time thought provoking and convicting, this topic will send you home with a new, freedom enhancing paradigm for living.
   

• Finding Christ in our Culture Today: Wow!  The world today is nothing like the world we grew up in 20, or 30, or 40 years ago!  Where is Christ in our Culture today?  A quick look says “He’s not here”!…but IS He?  With a clear look back at the way Christ related to his culture, we will draw some modern day parallels that will help us relate to others like Christ did.  This eye-opening, and mind-expanding seminar will help you look at “The World” in an entirely new light.  You will be challenged and encouraged to “Find Christ in our Culture Today” like you never thought you could!
   

• Hospitality and Your Faith: What does the Bible say about Hospitality?  And what can I do with that information today?  Christy takes this often-neglected topic and gives you some refreshing and reinvigorating ideas on how to show your faith through Hospitality.  Utilizing an entertaining style and fast paced, motivational delivery, you will leave this seminar energized and brimming over with ideas for using the talents and gifts God has given you in order to best serve Him through Hospitality.

Christy uses her background of 14 years in High End Residential Design as a foundation for this entertaining and thought provoking program. You will leave with some revolutionary design concepts, some easy decorating tips and a plan of action to bring your family home into the New Century with a flourish!
   

• Personal Growth from the Vine: Ouch!  Sometimes life hurts!  With a refreshing look at an ancient truth, Christy covers the material Bruce Wilkinson brought to life with his book “Secrets of the Vine.”  We will take this topic and bring it home to where you live.  With a study of the scripture, and lots of personal application points, you will learn how to not just survive, but thrive in the midst of the pruning God allows in our lives.
   

• Your Self Image and God’s Reality: Do you struggle with a positive self-image?  Do you find yourself drowning in the sea of self-doubt and even self-hate?  If so, you’re not alone.  American women are especially susceptible to the lies of the enemy, which tell us we’re never thin, pretty or good enough.  This seminar will uncover the truth of the matter according to the real truth teller – God.  We will look at His word, and through a series of entertaining, educational and uplifting exercises, we’ll discover the REALITY of who we are through God’s perspective.
